Why We Exist
Burn The Playbook
The manifesto, then the signup. In that order.
There is a playbook. It says the number doesn't matter if the spin is good. It says a conflict of interest is fine as long as the disclosure form is filed. It says you won't read the contract, the docket, or the FEC filing, so nobody has to write about them.
We read them. Twice a day, we take one story, pull the document underneath it, and print the number that someone hoped would stay in the appendix. Every claim traces to a source you can click. Every issue ends with a verdict, not a shrug.
No investors. No hidden owners. No access to protect.
That's the whole model: readers, documents, and a tip line. If a stranger lands here and can't tell us apart from the noise in three seconds, we've failed. The paper you're holding is the argument.
